CIVIL WAR?
It seems as though the bad news in Iraq gets worse by the second:
Tit-for-tat killings which has now sparked all the symptoms of a full blown civil war.
Did our soldiers come over here just so they can see this happen?
Probably not. But this is what's happening now.
And what's ironic about this whole affair is that the same defunct CIA--which was used as a convenient scapegoat for Bush's illegal war--once predicted that if things didn't change with the ongoing sectarian violence in February 2005, we could very well see a civil war explode in Iraq.
Now, it may already have begun. Both sides had staked out grounds in which to kill each other over with since we invaded--with the US showing heavy favoritism for the Shiites. However, the Sunnis aren't without muscle or teeth either.
And both sides have shown they can be as brutal and sadistic as Saddam ever was in his heyday.
Maybe Bush should be told that we should leave before our serving men and women get caught in the crossfire, eh?
Then again...I doubt our President even cares. We have to see this bungled affair to the bitter end, right? No matter what befalls our troops?
